Assistant (Secretary) FMG/Finance

Would you like to work as a secretary/assistant and are you looking for a varied position in an inspiring environment? Stibbe is immediately looking for a full-time (0.8 FTE also possible) assistant for the Banking & Finance practice group.
Stibbe is a leading international law and notary firm with offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Luxembourg and London. Most of our clients are listed companies, private equity houses and financial institutions.
A selection of your tasks

You participate in the lawyers' daily practice, ensure efficient agenda management and planning and preparing appointments and meetings. You ensure correct file structure and handle the associated incoming and outgoing documents. The declaration process is an important part of your work. You also support the lawyers in preparing documents and know-how tasks. You also maintain the digital client file (Contact Manager). You handle many different matters at the same time and process them independently. In that context, you are expected to have a high degree of accuracy, independence and flexibility.

The team 
You are part of a team of assistants. The assistants are responsible for the secretarial support of the various lawyers and are directly supervised by a team leader. Together with the team, you make a major contribution to the quality of the practice group and Stibbe's services.

Who are we looking for?
An enthusiastic colleague who ensures that everything runs smoothly for his/her lawyers. You are a real go-getter and you have completed an MBO(+)/HBO education. You also have an affinity with the legal profession or business services. You are a team player who is also able to work independently and prioritize tasks as you see fit. You are proactive, stress-resistant, flexible, also when it comes to stepping in and taking over tasks from colleagues. Furthermore, you have an excellent command of both the Dutch and English language, spoken and written, and you master the MS Office package.


Further:

  • You have a client-oriented and collegial attitude;
  • Are you numerically oriented and preferably have experience with declarations;
  • Are you able to initiate the correct follow-up after a client contact;
  • Are you willing to continue developing within the legal secretarial profession;
  • Don't have a 9 to 5 mentality;
  • Are you open to feedback;
  • Are you available 5 days a week, 4 is negotiable...
